Nunavut is a massive, sparsely populated territory of northern Canada, forming most of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. Its islands have expanses of tundra, craggy mountains and remote villages, accessible only by plane or boat. I sailed through the Northwest Passage and visited many areas of Nunavut on a small ship expedition cruise with Adventure Canada, and I wrote about Port Epworth for Lonely Planet, where it will be featured in the book The Joy of Quiet Places.
